Who We Are

Columbia Asbestos Removal is a local referral and advertising service connecting Columbia-area homeowners, landlords, and property managers with independent, licensed asbestos abatement, testing, and clearance professionals across the Midlands. We are not a licensed abatement contractor ourselves. Every project we route runs through a contractor holding current SCDES licensure and appropriate liability coverage.

Why We Exist

Finding a competent, honest asbestos contractor in a hurry is hard. Most Midlands homeowners only run into asbestos once — mid-renovation, during a real-estate transaction, or after a water event — and they have to make a fast decision with no baseline for what "normal" pricing or scope looks like. • Current SCDES contractor and worker licensure verified before onboarding and re-verified annually.
• Insurance certificates on file: general liability and worker's compensation minimums that meet or exceed the contractor's largest active project.
• Track record with the Richland County and Lexington County building departments — contractors with unresolved complaints or lapsed licensure are removed.
• Independent clearance-testing relationships — the industrial hygienist doing the clearance is never the same firm doing the abatement.
